On September 14th from 11 am – 7 pm, the heart of Historic Downtown Castle Rock – including Second Street, Perry Street and Festival Park – will be filled with the sights and sounds of Oktoberfest as the community welcomes the fall season. Each year more than 5,000 residents and visitors enjoy the wonderful variety of this traditional Oktoberfest celebration.
Revelers at this year’s event will enjoy a family-friendly street fair beginning with the keg-tapping ceremony at 11:00. Live German music will be provided throughout the day by Rick Borger & The Average German Band. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day from Castle Rock’s own Nordic (Chalet) Dancers and Performers, ATA Martial Arts, Castle Rock Martial Arts, and the DC Dolphins Cheerleaders. The streets will be filled with various vendors from Castle Rock and beyond. Beer from Pikes Peak Brewing, Rockyard Brewery, Lone Tree Brewing, Empyrean Brewing Company and Wicked Hard will be available for purchase.
Castle Rock’s Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event with many entertaining activities including face painting, a bounce house/slide from Summit Church, a petting zoo and pony rides. In addition, Amberg Entertainment and FunDay Party Rentals will be on hand with some of their fun and exciting carnival-style attractions. Admission to the event is free.
The staff at Haulaway Solid Waste, is looking forward to Oktoberfest. They know it’s a great way to meet people, support the community and increase awareness of the business community.
