“Castle Rock residents and business owners are invested in their community,” Chief Jack Cauley said during the ceremony. “The men and women of the Castle Rock Police Department are honored to serve them. We are confident these officers will help us advance the department for years to come.”
During the same ceremony, Officers Eric McCarty and Todd Brown were promoted to sergeant. McCarty, who had been promoted to corporal, has served Castle Rock for more than a decade. Brown has been a police officer with the Town since 1997.

Increasing safety personnel is part of the Town’s 2013-2015 Balanced Financial Plan, aimed at increasing levels of service and completing high-priority projects in line with Town Council’s five priorities: public safety, building the North Meadows Extension, starting Philip S. Miller Park, securing renewable water, and expanding the tax base through economic development
Also as part of the Balanced Plan, the Town will this year put a new ambulance online, resulting in six new Fire Department positions. The Town will complete these and other aspects of the plan without raising taxes while still balancing the budget.
